Elaine Benardout Counselling Therapies

About Me

I decided to retrain as a counsellor having worked in a previous career in business development, training and mentoring.  Here I successfully helped clients to optimise their work performance.  I now use this expertise in counselling clients to cope with work related and personal issues. Combining coaching and counselling can be effective in helping to solve problems and achieving goals.

I have worked with people from many walks of life, of differing ages and cultures, helping them with issues ranging from lack of self-acceptance, stress, health anxieties, depression, addictions, general anxiety, relationships, personal development, life transitions and more.

Expect compassionate, down to earth support without judgement, in a safe and confidential space.

When I came to Elaine, I was looking for some support with anxiety during an intense masters training. I had previously had psychodynamic therapy, but I was looking for a more practical approach to better manage my stress. Elaine provided a perfect blend of working with my past, whilst also helping me focus on the present, encouraging me to implement better coping strategies into my everyday life. Elaine is down to earth, person-centered and kind. Her sessions are interesting and informative, and she has gone above and beyond to enable me to feel more equipped and empowered in my daily life!
